 Bigg Boss is set to get bigger with Amitabh Bachchan agreeing to host the third season of the reality show.
In this third edition of the show, Bachchan will take over from Shilpa Shetty, who was the host of the previous season. The inaugural Bigg Boss show in 2006 had Arshad Warsi as the host.
Amitabh was last seen on the small screen as the popular host of the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Bigg Boss is the Indian version of the popular reality show Big Brother, and has celebrity contestants locked in a house, without contact with the outside world and under the constant surveillance of multiple cameras, for a period of three months. Periodic eliminations take place based on voting by the house-mates and the audience.
Big B will be seen on the show on the days of the elimination.
The show is expected to go on air around December. |
